After having challenged the "Clash of Civilizations" hypothesis during its last meetings and in a collective book published at Laval University Press in 2003, GEPANC has organized its IVth International Seminar, held from May 6 to 8, 2005, at Laval university (Quebec City, Canada), on the topic of dialogue between civilisations and especially on the relationship between Islam and the West. This meeting, that gathered scientists both from the "West" and the "Islamic World" will be used as a basis for a larger reflection during the 20th World Congress of the International
Political Science Association that will held at Fukuoka (Japan) in next summer 2006.
